Space Cadets Workshop for Kids

(North Adams, Mass.) -- Every aspiring young astronaut and solar system enthusiast will enjoy this hands-on workshop. Inspired by pioneer performance artist Laurie Anderson, children will be given the opportunity to compose their own multi-media presentation based on space travel. The sky is the limit when it comes to creating sounds and images similar to what kids might dream about in space. Everyone can be a space explorer! "Space Cadets" will take place in the rehearsal hall on Saturday, September 11 from 1-2:30 P.M. and is open to children ages 6 and up.

Studying violin since his youngest years, Eric Buddington knows string. A lively fiddle-player, Eric has performed contra dance music with the Flying Garbanzos and the Williams College group Rude Cider. He also has tapped his foot along with ragtime, tango, and English country dance music with Spare Parts, folk rock with Eric Underwood Band, and medieval music with the Early Muses. Eric also occasionally plays the wooden flute. Eric describes his music as, "easy to play and have fun with."
