World Class Musicians Work with Kids at MASS MoCA

(North Adams, Mass.) As part of the Bang on Can Summer Institute for New Music at MASS MoCA the co-founders of Bang on a Can, Michael Gordon, David Lang, and Julia Wolfe, joined by their own children and special guests create a session just for kids entitled Kids Can Too! At the workshop, they will introduce children to a world of music and instruments far beyond the ordinary. Although the event on Saturday, July 20, at 10:30 A.M. is free with museum admission, space is limited and advance reservations are required.

In addition to Kids Can Too, the festival which starts July 13 and concludes on July 27 will include free daily recitals and open rehearsals throughout the MASS MoCA complex as well as an opening concert and closing celebration with Steve Reich.

Kids' events at MASS MoCA are sponsored by Berkshire Bank.
