“By now the line on Mr. Neumann is well established: He is the smart joker of dance. What's not said as often is how deeply felt and deeply moving his work can be." – The New York Times
Interdisciplinary choreographer David Neumann presents an intimate evening of solos that span his two-decade career, including acclaimed dances tough the tough, DOSE, and his current work in progress I Understand Everything Better, which explores the impulse to report and reflect on calamity and death.
Effervescent, delightfully odd, and frequently cathartic, the oeuvre is anchored by Neumann’s obsession with the line between theater and dance, action and voice, audience and performer.
