OUR BIG BANG THEORY. We love July when the whole campus becomes a spontaneous combustion chamber for music sometimes just a few milliseconds old. Great musicians, including the Bang on a Can All-Stars, join students and guest conductors in comet-like appearances across our constellation of galleries, stages, and outdoor courtyard spaces. The music will take your breath away with its rocking guttural strength, whispered beauty, and dance-inducing rhythms.

Bang on a Can Gallery Recitals
Mondays-Fridays, 1:30pm & 4:30pm / Saturdays 4:30pm
Inspired by the art, Bang on a Can faculty and fellows perform twice daily. The early afternoon recitals pop up in unexpected places. The late afternoon recitals are more finely structured but still casual, filling galleries with extraordinary new music. Gallery recitals are free with museum admission.
