Just sixteen when she leapt into the public eye
in 2006 as a seemingly fully formed artist, the
talented English folk singer Laura Marling has
mesmerized ever since with her extraordinary
songwriting and equally enchanting voice. She
signed to Virgin and released her 2008 full-length
debut, Alas I Cannot Swim, followed
with 2010's Mercury Prize-nominated I Speak
Because I Can, and last year's A Creature I
Don't Know, a record of remarkable maturity. In
this solo performance you'll know immediately that she's an artist with a path ahead of boundless
possibility.
"Who else is making music
as ambitious, as haunting,
as centuries-straddling,
as thought-provoking and
artistically tenacious as this?
And the answer is: nobody.
No, really. Not a soul." -Times Of London
