Since 2000, the Williamstown Film Festival and MASS MoCA have joined forces annually to salute major artists and independent film. Their 23rd collaboration celebrates another Berkshire cultural mecca: Jacob's Pillow. The longest-running dance festival in America, "The Pillow" has become an internationally known dance center, school, and performance space. A National Historic landmark, it received the 2011 National Medal of Arts. Ron Honsa's Never Stand Still cinematically weaves in and out of its rich history with interviews and rare footage from Ted Shawn and Martha Graham to Merce Cunningham and Bill Irwin, from ballet to flamenco to hip-hop. Post-screening Q&A with Honsa and Pillow director Ella Baff.
Starting at 11AM and running through to the end of the party catch Judy Dennis's The Dancer Films: Nine Minutes based on cartoons by Jules Feiffer.
