We Call It Soccer: The USA's Influence on the World's Game -- A few weeks before the 2010 World Cup reignites the world's biggest passion - and for the very first time in Africa - several questions arise: Does the United States' recent emergence as a player on the international soccer scene influence and improve the global game? If so, how? And how is the world reacting to the Yanks' arrival?
Moderated by Adam Spangler, founder of This Is American Soccer blog and former Vanity Fair editor, the panel features Steven Stark, a former commentator for NPR and CNN who recently published "World Cup 2010: The Indispensable Guide to Soccer and Geopolitics"; Greg Lalas, editor in chief of MLSsoccer.com (official website of Major League Soccer); and Zohair Ghenania, former MLS player now staff coach at French club FC Lorientl
This panel discussion is presented as part of MASS MoCA's Kicking and Screening Soccer Film Festival.
