$39 in advance/ $47 day of show Member tickets are not available via the internet.
A day and night of outdoor music featuring a spectacular lineup of bands, food and drink, galleries and more. Festival happens rain or shine.
Josh Ritter, Ben Kweller, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, Kaki King, and Samantha Crain
- Tapping a rich vein of American folk both musically and lyrically, Josh Ritter (Listen now!)is a traditionalist who blurs genre lines among folk, country, and pop. NPR says, “Drawing on Dylan's penchant for evocative poetry and Springsteen's gift for wrapping complex political and cultural issues in homey narratives, Josh Ritter is quickly becoming the standard-bearer for a new generation of Americana artists.”
- Ben Kweller is a pop savant who since his days as a teenage songwriting phenom fronting punk band Radish has dabbled in everything from blistering rock to acoustic folk with golden harmonies. His latest album, 2009's Changing Horses, infuses a down home Americana sound with indie edge.
- The Hudson Valley-based singer songwriter Elvis Perkins (Listen now!)is a local hero and national star thanks to a kitchen sink approach to indie folk and his outstanding band, Elvis Perkins in Dearland, whose self-titled 2009 album is a wild, rollicking affair with horns and organ that the brings the energy level up a few notches.
- Kaki King (Listen now!)is a dazzling young guitar player known for her finger-pickin, fret-slapping and percussive thumping style. The only woman on Rolling Stone’s recent list of new guitar gods, her two-handed picking style is like nothing you’ve ever seen before.
- The New York Times called Oklahoma native Samantha Crain "a promising young storyteller with fealty to ragged, country-driven indie-pop and an alluring dark streak." Her album Songs in the Night, released last April with her band The Midnight Shivers, has drawn raves from Rolling Stone and others. She performs here solo to start off this spectacular day of music.
