Join artist Alexis Rockman for a lecture on his work and its relation to the environment.
Rockman is a virtuosic painter of large-scale works examining the sublime in landscape and our impact on nature. His 30-foot painting of glaciers at the South Pole, South, is featured in MASS MoCA’s exhibit Badlands: New Horizons in Landscape.
He and curator Denise Markonish will discuss his work, the trip to Antarctica that inspired his painting, and his involvement in the environmental movement.
