Alexis Rockman Talk

Saturday, September 27, 2008, 3:00 pm
Club B-10
FREE for members, $5 for not yet members

Join artist Alexis Rockman for a lecture on his work and its relation to the environment.

Rockman is a virtuosic painter of large-scale works examining the sublime in landscape and our impact on nature. His 30-foot painting of glaciers at the South Pole, South, is featured in MASS MoCA’s exhibit Badlands: New Horizons in Landscape.

He and curator Denise Markonish will discuss his work, the trip to Antarctica that inspired his painting, and his involvement in the environmental movement.

Seating is limited, so reserve your tickets early by contacting the MASS MoCA Box Office at 413.MoCA.111.
